It is a kind of synthetic and amorphous sio2 product, which is characterized by high porosity and high purity. Although sio2 is one of the most abundant substances on the earth, the chemical and physical properties of gasoloid sio2 are quite different from those of natural silica. By detecting their properties, we found that the synthesized silica gel is conducive to its application in a wider range because of the structure of powder granulation , including coatings, inks, fabric gloss adjustment, film adhesion resistance, catalyst loading and other aspects.
1.The Formation of AC Gasoloid sio2
Silicic acid can be obtained by the chemical reaction of silicate and sulfuric acid, under certain reaction conditions, silicic acid gradually forms primary particles of the same size. Due to the action of chemical adhesive, a three-dimensional structure is formed, and this chemical adhesive forms a secondary adhesive in turn. The formation of this porous water seepage and network structure leads to a large internal surface area and a large number of pores. More importantly, sio2 with various pore sizes can be produced by changing the formation conditions of the original particles. This different aperture determines the surface of a particle and the number of holes in a particle.
2. The Features of AC Gasoloid sio2
In the chemical reaction described above, the action of coexisting ions and surfactant through the influence of temperature can stop the growth of the secondary adhesive, which results in the precipitation of the secondary adhesive. In wet processing of sio2, the diameter of particles is usually less than 0.1 micron, and this form of sio2 is the basis of the characteristic formation of gasoloid.
2.1. Porosity
As discussed above, the porosity of gasoloid can be adjusted, so the various grades of aerosols are manufactured, and these grades are characterized by the control of pore size. The various adsorption properties are due to differences in porosity and the size of each basic type of pore.
2.2. The Formation & Treatment of Surface
The surface of the gasoloid is covered with hydroxyl group (- OH) . Gasoloid matting agent contains 2.5%-3.0% weight of hydroxyl group, the specific percentage depends on the level. Hydroxyl groups has a strong hydrophilicity and tend to form hydrogen bond bonds through molecules. These hydrogen bond bonds have a hydrogen reactive group, such as another hydroxyl (- OH) or an amino group. What's more, sio2 selectively absorbs molecules that have strong polarity. The AC series 805,110 and others have been treated with an inorganic substance to treat the hydroxyl groups on the surface of the sio2.

3.3. Security
Matting agent is an amorphous sio2 (hydrated sio2),it is considered safe for humans under non-crystalline conditions. No surface treatment of the relevant grade of sio2 in its annex has been issued in the relevant test report. Through CTI and other authoritative testing, the safety performance of product is guaranteed, meeting with the export safety standards.
Excellent dispersion: in the paint it is very easy to disperse, can be added before, can also be added after, especially after adding to adjust gloss more convenient and simple.
Excellent extinction: using differential pore-forming technology, the porosity of Silica Gel is increased from 1.8 ml to 2.0 ml/g. The porosity of the particles is increased, thus the extinction rate of the extinction powder is increased.
Excellent transparency and re-coating: the purity of Silica Gel can reach 99.5% , particle size distribution is more concentrated, so that transparency is better, better re-coating.
Higher anti-precipitation: through the surface treatment of colloidal particles, enhancing the suspension of micro-powder in the adhesive, thus enhancing the anti-precipitation, so that the appearance of paint is more stable.
